OFF 08

The OFF takes place at L’escaut, to 400 meters from Tours and Taxis from noon to midnight, at the same time than the Foire du Livre in Brussels, the IN.

68 Septante is partner of this first event which wants an alternative at the official fair of the book of Brussels.
The association will also intervene at two levels :

 As DVD publisher with the presentation of its 6 publishings realized since 2006 in the Electrons libres and VID collections.

 As diffuser with proposition of two audiovisual installations :

Les événements ratés, est une réflexion sur l’événement.
What is an event ? In what does it consist ? What is determine it ? In other words, what is making event ? The fact that something exceptional takes place ? Or the fact that there is some people to watch and talk about it ?
This thinking on the event is to be linked to the media fact which surround certain exhibitions.
The work consists of a true-false filmed performance. With posters which remind crossheads used in the old movies, a sentence which establishes our thought on the event is communicated to the audience.
